"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" is the first of eight movies that's a full adaptation of the Harry Potter book series from author J.K Rowlings. In the film, the titular character Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) is a boy who's poor, and abused at the hands of his adoptive family, his Aunt and Uncle Dursley, and constantly tormented by their son, Dudley Dursley. However, on his eleventh birthday it's revealed that there's something magical, and something special about Harry Potter when he's accepted into the Wizarding world and learns that he's the orphaned son of two heroic figures, and is a minor celebrity in their world.
