Murder at the UN headquarters brings Bond to the US. The trail leads to Orleans, home to a gang of drug traffickers. From there, Agent 007 travels to the mysterious island of San Monique in the Caribbean Sea, dominated by a Voodoo cult. He wouldn't be the first white man to die a mysterious death there if he tries to uncover the secrets of the camouflaged plantations that allow Dr. Kananga to obtain tons of heroin. What role will Solitaire, a woman who can predict the future from cards, play in this case? She may be putting James Bond on the trail, but her predictions are also putting lives at risk. This film marks the first appearance of Roger Moore as James Bond. Paul and Linda McCartney received an Oscar nomination for the theme song.
