The French army soldiers Chaudard, Pithivier and Tassin were ordered in the summer of 1940 to set up an observation post and maintain communications so that their army could flee as best and as quickly as possible. The German divisions began to occupy France much more vigorously than expected. And so it came to pass that this "flower" of the French military liaison officers remained separated from his company, which had been taken prisoner. With no command and no desire for heroic deeds, this trio decided to join the fleeing army. But in the meantime, the Germans had already begun to spread out everywhere...
