Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil is an adaption of John Berendts book of the same name. It chronicles the story of a young journalist named John Kelso as he travels to Savannah GA to cover the city's christmas celebration amidst a background of eccentric people. He becomes intrigued by the sultry singer Mandy, and is then engrossed in a murder trial when the Wealthy social figure Jim Williams is accused of shooting his homosexual lover, and the question of if it was self defense as he claims becomes a prominent figure in the trial.
