William Harford, a wealthy New York doctor, becomes jealous of his attractive wife Alice after she confides in him that she might be able to leave her entire life because of an erotic experience with a strange man. The man takes advantage of the situation and, unbeknownst to his wife, goes on a little sexual odyssey. After being rejected by the amorous daughter of his deceased patient and a subsequent failed visit to a prostitute, he infiltrates a secret orgy through his friend, whose participants, wearing Venetian-style carnival masks, perform a mysterious sexual ritual. However, the uninvited visitor is quickly discovered...

William Harford, a well-known and wealthy doctor, and his beautiful wife Alice go to a pre-Christmas party. Unexpectedly, he must deal with the host's health problem, leaving Alice at the mercy of an unknown man. At the party, William meets his old school friend. He hasn't finished his studies, so he plays the piano for a living. One day he goes to a bar to listen to him, whereupon his old friend confides that he is going to play at a secret event where he must be blindfolded. William insists, and later gets to this secret party of the wealthy: everyone is covered in masks, and there are several beautiful girls being fawned over by several men. William is soon discovered, however, and is immediately caught up in a strange carousel of threats and stalking...
